All guitar necks may require fret leveling and polishing, and may need to be fine tuned to fit your instrument. This is normal and not a defect. All guitar necks should be carefully inspected prior to installation and/or modification.
All wood is unique with individual growth patterns and grain appearance. Due to the unique nature of this wood product, it should be understood that no two guitar necks are identical and may differ slightly from what is pictured.
Notes:
1 - Vintage one piece maple guitar necks used either koa or walnut for the skunk stripes and plugs subject to availability. Our Classic 50s guitar necks are standardized on walnut.
2 - Our guitar necks do not include a pre-installed nut. We believe that best results are achieved when the nut is cut and installed as part of the final assembly and setup. Nut blanks are widely available and come in a range of materials. While it is a finicky task, most nut blanks are modestly priced (which makes it less painful if you make an error) and it is quite satisfying learning to cut and install your own. Alternatively, you may want to have a luthier or technician cut and install a nut based on your preferences.
